Lucky Boom review: my honest take on the casino
I wrote this review for players in the Netherlands who are thinking about opening a Lucky Boom account. I rely on the terms and figures the casino publishes itself, and I say plainly what I like and where I drop off.
Lucky Boom is broad: casino, live tables and a sportsbook in one account, with plenty of payment options. The big minus is the licence: no KSA licence, only an international one from Costa Rica. Playing here means going without Dutch protection. So please read my page on licence and safety first.
What I looked at
| What I checked | What I found |
|---|---|
| Licence | Costa Rica, no KSA — my biggest objection |
| Getting started | Account in about three minutes, just email and password |
| Bonus | Choice of three packages; I find sports and live the fairest |
| Deposits | From €20, in crypto from about €0.77 |
| Withdrawals | From €40 by bank or card, up to €10,000 a month |
| Help | Chat and email, day and night |
What I rate highly
- You pick your own starting bonus: if you only bet on sports, you don't have to take a slots bonus. My analysis is on the welcome package page.
- iDEAL alongside Revolut, N26, Wise and crypto — see the cashier.
- Documents only before the first withdrawal, not at sign-up.
Where I am critical
- No KSA licence and no CRUKS check.
- x40 on the slots package means a lot of betting; do the maths on wagering.
- A cap of €1,000 per day: a big win arrives in instalments, see cashing out.
Who is Lucky Boom for, and who not?
I see Lucky Boom mainly as an option for experienced players who knowingly choose an international casino and understand the risks. If you are new to online gambling or want the certainty of Dutch supervision, I would pick a KSA-licensed casino myself.
Questions I often get
Is Lucky Boom allowed to serve players in the Netherlands?
Offering online gambling in the Netherlands without a KSA licence is not permitted, and Lucky Boom does not have that licence. According to public sources it operates under a Costa Rican licence. More on my safety page.
How much can I withdraw at most?
€1,000 per day, €4,000 per week and €10,000 per month.
Which welcome package would you choose?
It depends on what you play. For sports I find the x10 package the most achievable, for table games the live package with x15. The slots package is the biggest but also the heaviest.
Do I need documents to get started?
No. You start with just an email address and a password. Before your first payout Lucky Boom asks for an ID, a selfie with that ID and proof of address.
Can I play with crypto?
Yes, including Bitcoin. Crypto sits in a separate balance next to your euro balance.
